Johnson County Broadband Study

Johnson County has engaged HR Green to conduct a broadband study focused on the unincorporated areas and smaller towns within the county. The study will identify where there are gaps in Internet and related connectivity and help the County determine next steps to take to improve connectivity.

More About The Study

The Johnson County Broadband Study will take several approaches to help guide the county's future efforts.
Creating a Base GIS Map
This map will used to store all of the data gathered by the study.
Broadband Market Assessment
The study will develop a list of broadband providers in the county, details about the specifics of services available, and engagement with the providers to learn more about current or future plans for growth.
Community Engagement
Several community stakeholder meetings will be held, each of which will address the impacts of broadband access gaps on county residents from the perspective of various key stakeholders.
Gap Analysis and Recommended Action Steps
Utilizing all the data gathered from the study, HR Green will help identify gaps in broadband coverage in Johnson County and work with county leadership to identify possible ways to address them.
